Lady Patritots lose two over weekend

Logan, OH - The Southern State Women's basketball team traveled to Hocking college on Friday and Saturday for the 1st Hocking College Invitational. On Friday, the Women would play Potomac State College of WVU. Although trailing at halftime by eight points, the team was unable to stay with Potomac due to very poor shooting. The team would shoot under 30% from the field and could not make a push to be competitive. The Lady Patriots were led in scoring by Emma Wardlow(Whiteoak) with a game high of 24 points. Natasha Barr(West Union) would collect 8 rebounds to lead the team. The Lady Patriots would fall 57-79. For Saturday, the Women would play Ohio University Club team. It was more poor shooting that would plaque the team all weekend. The Lady Patriots would lose 53-84. Never really end the game due to turnovers and bad play doomed the team from the beginning. The Lady Patriots were led by Natasha Barr(West Union) with 16 points, while Emma Wardlow(Whiteoak) would grab 7 rebounds. The Lady Patriots are home on Friday vs Hocking College beginning at 5:30 and home again vs PSU-Greater Allegheny on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
