Thunderhawks fly by Lady Patriots

(Hillsboro, OH)- The SSSCC Lady Patriots Basketball were flown by the the visiting MU-Middletown Thunderhawks.  From the out set, Miami used their speed to just be relentless on the Lady Patriots.  The Thunderhawks would also hit a team 14 3-pt shots for the game with MacKenzie Glenn hitting 9 and finishing with a game high 36 points.

For the Lady Patriots, they never got in the game.  Falling behind by 14 after the 1st quarter and trailing 33-54 at half.  The final score would be 61-108 and the Lady Patriots would fall to a season record of 2-13.

Leading the Lady Patriots in scoring was Natasha Barr(West Union)with 19 points and Tia Shepherd(Adams County Chrisitian) chipping in 10 points.

"We have been dealing with some sickness on the team for the week, plus we have not been getting our regular practice times together," said Coach Wells.  "This was very disappointing for us, because we were making some good strides and the wheels fell off.

The Lady Patriots will be back in action on Friday, Feburary 5th traveling to OSU-Mansfield.  Then back home on Tuesday, Febuary 9th at 7:00pm vs Kentucky Chrisitan University.
